The culprit IMO is wind, if you can avoid it you may be ok.

I personally love to just be able to bring it to a boil fast. That way you can ice down if you want and bring it back up to temp without waiting all damn day.

if it worked good at one time, be sure its not clogged w/ dirt dobber nest.

and that you have a high pressure regulator as mentioned
