All Stephen King books except for The Shining, The Green Mile, and Shawshank.

and Friday Night Lights. The movie didn't touch half of what made the book so great.

Which is why I've never seen that movie. The trailers made it pretty obvious how different it would be from the book.

I also read Seabiscuit. Turned movie off cause it was slow and chronologically out of place with book. Everyone I know liked the movie, but after reading the book, I was disappointed since I was looking so forward to watching movie as I was reading book.
and this will probably shock people, but I hated BOTH the movie and the book

Sphere was a better a book and a worse movie than Congo.
Right on. Couldn't put Sphere the book down, couldn't watch Sphere the movie for more than 15 minutes. Jurassic Park the movie was cool but the book wsa 10X better to me. The comments about Chrichton have been on the money. Even as far as Timeline goes - barely a decent book but the movie just made you want to Vomit, although it did feature Gerard Butler before he was a Spartan.

Soda, you took the words out of my mouth. I read Sphere when I was 15. Read it in 3 hours, couldn't put it down and I've never been a huge Crichton fan either. The movie didn't have any of the mystery and curiosity of the book.
