So its they complain?

Utah, BYU, Boise St play the same type of schedule. BYU has a little edge because they have a "name". Boise has been a FBS for around 15 years, they are following same pattern set out by FSU, they are just just not getting respect.

BSU has all of these problems scheduling teams, but Utah, BYU, Hawaii, TCU, etc don't

TCU played 2 away BCS games this past year, along with playing in a much harder conference

why do we never hear these teams complaining about schedules? we don't b/c they get it done. BSU doesn't

why does BSU have so much trouble compared to the other non-BCS teams who have played in BCS bowls?

because they are the ones pissing and moaning about how no one will play them. When Florida State was building their program, they played anyone ON THE ROAD. Fresno plays lots of teams on the road, maybe Boise just likes to whine.

They want 1 for 1, just like all other schools.

and I want to frick Jennifer Aniston, if they want to be taken more seriously, they have to beat some one. Beating Pc 10 teams is a start, but they got to branch out.

Boise has scheduled Oregon Oregon St who are better than Clemson (who TCU scheduled). If Boise falls flat I will admit to it, but they are better than you are giving them credit for.

BSU refuses to leave the west, namely the pacific northwest. they always play oregon and oregon state

i'd actually bet they'd do worse in the SEC over a season than i give them credit for

Its comical watching you grasp at straws in Boise threads, hold other mid-majors to different standards than Boise who are in the same exact boat, continue to punish them for one loss 5 years ago, etc.

sms, are you suggesting LSU, Texas, USC, or Florida should give Boise St a 1 for 1?

2-1 if they are fricking lucky enough for one of us to grace their field with our presence.

Why not, if they are so much better than have them prove it instead of a 2 or 3 for 1?

I understand the money to be gained by Texas, LSU, Florida by playing a home game, but if they so much better than Boise go to the Blue Turf and prove it.

Do you understand how much exposure that would give both teams? It will either shut up Boise for good or give them the respect.

I know it wont happen, for reasons other than money. Texas LSU Florida cant afford to lose a game at Boise.

This thread is exactly what we dealt with at SMS when we got left out of NCAA with RPI of 21, Maryland claimed they would play us anywhere anytime, we countered with play us home and home they backed out.

Texas actually WOULD do it. They've played at UTEP, at Wyoming and at Central Fla in recent years.

Word is ESPN had major influence about the schedule change. What gets me is Va Tech is paying Boise 2 million to play. This should be home field advantage for VT but Boise fans travel well and as far as the matchup Boise returns 21 of the 22 starter from last year's team and VT has lost the last 2 opening games in at a neutral site. I've got my fingers crossed that this time VT will win.

Oh yes...Stadiumgate...UH refused to move the game to Reliant. Then there was a problem with the extra temp bleachers they had set up. Due to all that, you probably won't see any UT-UH games any time soon.

I started to include UH and Rice in my example, but those are really de facto home games for UT.

And smacked a lot of them around too. One thing about that is FSU was independent back then, which had to have given them a lot of latitude in scheduling. I personally think BSU should go that route if they want to prove they're a true big boy, but doubt it would work for them financially.

certainly a lot easier for the 'Noles as an independent in a time when teams were only playing 6 conference games to schedule some big boys.

money makes the world go round. i would think if boise offered a 1 and 1 plus extra money to compensate for the loss of a home game to a big name school they'd consider it.

Maybe if they can throw up a 50-70k and can pull in money to compete with the big boys they might get their 1 and 1

big name schools have nothing to prove. you can't try to prove yourself and then demand things on your turf. they are just trying to bitch and moan.

They also can't try to schedule non-conf games one or two seasons away. Most non-conf games are schedule years in advance. They are just asking teams in a year or two b/c they know they'll get "no" answers.

The reason they won't name names as to who's turned them down is they'd be exposed for bs-ing the whole thing.
