I never understand people asking what they should order at places. Don't you have your own tastes?

So you do not understand someone on a Food board asking for sugestions to a place they have never been?? I also did not ask for anyone to order for me, I asked what the "must haves" were. For example i like escargot so now that another person said it was good there i might just order the escargot au pistou. But if enough people say it's done poorly I would probably stay away from it. Part of the fun about being on a board like this is bouncing ideas of each other

I can understand it for a normal type of place, like Parrains or something.

This is a critical cuisine joint that specializes in unique preparations and 'homegrown' ingredients.

With all the crazy stuff on that menu, escargot (though my wife ordered it - and loved it) and charbroiled oysters are far from taking a risk. Of course the damn escargot are good. That's why I edited to say the Tarte is worth a shot, if you at all are even thinking about it. I would take a chance at a place like this, order something in the hopes you are going to be blown away.

I don't understand how someone could be blown away by escargot or charbroiled oysters, although they are obviously very good things to eat.

I didn't mean to single you out, it's just something I see on here regularly and don't understand. I'm apologize for acting the arse.
