Then they start talking about the same thing happened in practice with Allen.

I don't down this didn't happen from time to time. I'm just doubting the claim that it happened every time at every practice. If that were true then Day would be at an SEC school

It didn't happen every day because they stopped them from going against each other.

The News Star and Shreveport Times today are both saying Day was offered by Miss St.

If this were so, then why wouldn't a major school offer the kid. The schools come to practice. They would see who had the talent and you know Shows would be pimping him out to the schools.
Sadly, no matter how good of a football player Day really is some people will always view him as a white man first and a football player second.

It's seems especially tough for West Monroe fans to admit some of their guys aren't quite as coveted as they expect them to be.

It's quite a phenomenon.

Come on man. Let that shite go. We don't stand to gain one thing by pumping sunshine into Day's arse. He is a fantastic lineman with major college talent that has poor grades and a questionable attitude. I'M GLAD LSU DIDN'T OFFER, but you can rest assured that with good grades and a better attitude, schools would've been fighting over the kid.

If you want an unbiased opinion, ask TheBob. He coaches for Rummel and saw film on him. I'm sure he'll probably confirm that Day is AT LEAST a middle of the pack SEC talent that could develop into a big time player with a little weight and a change of attitude.

I think it's his attitude that makes him the player he is. He definitely plays like he wants to destroy the guy across from him. According to the paper, he is already qualified academically. I think he is just a little light in the britches and LSU can get equal talent that are already 30 lbs heavier than Day.

I agree that he has a great mean streak, but he can't control it sometimes. I'm not sure how many 15yd penalties he got this year, but I'd be willing to bet it was 15 or more.
As far as being light in the britches, he's a solid 270 with a slender frame. He'll be at least 290 in a year or so.

Tell me how Day can be a 2 star......

Dillon Day Highlights

Dillon Day Highlights 2

Watch his highlight videos and then tell me your opinion. Before you say he is small or skinny. He is truly 6'4" 269 (he was measured and weighed at LA Tech and Miss State)

NO WAY HE IS A 2 STAR.

Get over it and admit that the ranking system missed one.

We've come full circle when a kid like Bates gets crucified while a kid like Williams gets a free pass.

Watching a highlight video has to be the most inaccurate way to evaluate a player. What about the other 99% of his plays?

This.

Edit to add: I hope this kid dominates at Tech. I want all the W.M. kids to succeed. I just don't understand the legend that has developed around him.

That Highlight film consists of a handful of games............and honestly every other play is a pancake or driving the defender down the field........

You mean like Cameron Fordham, listed on Scout at 243 pounds. If that's actually Fordham's current weight, he'll need to gain at least 50 pounds of muscular weight before he can compete against 300 pound + S.E.C. DL's. We saw what happened this past season when you put lightweight OL's on the field. They are over powered and can't any push......

Highlights . . . from a handful of games . . . every other play

This does not sound like a 4 or 5 star.

As I have said many times, I hope this kid does awesome at Tech and further. I don't doubt he is a player. I would be happy if he came to LSU. But for people to say that he is better than Allen is laughable. It makes people from West Monroe look bad (THIS INCLUDES ME) when we make claims about a player when every coach that came to recruit Allen also saw Day and they all though Allen was better.

I probably know the folks of this kid and I don't want to say anything bad about him, but pumping him up by cutting on Allen is crazy.

I haven't cut on Allen once talking about Dillon.

I think they are both talented kids.

Allen performed in the classroom as well as on the field.

Dillon didn't perform in the classroom but dominated on the field. The kid just loves the game.
