Is 2011 being hyped because 2010 will be a disappointment?

Just askin'
As good as 2011 looks now, a whole year is a long time.

No, 2011 is being hyped because Louisana is loaded.
And 2010 is not disappointing. We are #6 in the country in recruiting right now. Jeebus where do these folks come from?

Everyone keeps talking about 2011 like we're a SHOE-IN for #1 class.
I don't see it that way at all.
We should be top 5 if we hold onto the LA kids we want, but to think we're automatically going to be #1 b/c there are 5-6 studs in LA is retarded.
Especially when UF and Alabama are locking down their states (at least the guys they want in their states) and pulling 5 stars from across the continent.

this cant be a serious question... Several of the 2011 guys are already All American game invites, and the class has more high profile OL/DL players than this state has ever had at one time. That means we can stock up on both sides of the line instate for the 1st time in one year. This never happens, but came close in 2001. Its a class that produces multiple titles. A lot to get excited about

why does everyone assume these recruits will actually sign with us anyway ... look at our top talents who reneged on committments his year .. all this next year PR is just hope and hype bs. If we don't improve a lot this fall the raiding of LA is just going to increase markedly.

That are all from out of state.

a good chunk of the big time guys already have LSU connections (family, friends, legacy) and add a guy like Frank Wilson to the mix and you see a reniewed interest in state 1st recruiting that got us to the top program we are

2011 is important, because of the big uglies. Thats where the games is won. LSU always has athletes, but next year offers a chance to start doninating the line of scrimmage again, which should make our athletes shine.

64 why not. Do you have to complain to be happy.

No -- 2010 is not a disappointment and it is not finished. You are the kind of doom and gloomer that is an embarrassment to Tiger fans around the world. We have a good 2010 class, fool. Find another team to put down.

Uh.....NO........Look at those 2011 kids! WOW!

2011 should be top 5, IF we get the players within our own state. We won't get them all, I'm sure Auburn, Bama, and Florida will be knocking down the walls trying to get some of the best talent we have had in a long time.
I also think Rasco will be going to Texas.
The other thing we have to worry about is how the 2010 season unfolds. Unless we have a year in which we play up to our potential, Miles will be gone. If he gets the ax, or if he changes up the staff like last year, we could have several more decommit.
We have a long ways to go before any of them sign, and lots could happen before then.

Are you asking recruiting or the actual season?

Please stop this. This board is becoming unbearable.

yes, and I think that is one of our problems -- better to recruit in-staters early and often if they are even close to comparable. I dont follow recruiting closely so I wonder why Trovon wasn't locked up long ago -- did he improve suddenly?
