question: i see the two are marked "whisky". since makers is also marked "whisky", is it considered a scotch?

whiskey is a broad category

scotch is scottish whiskey. there are requirements of whiskey to be considered "scotch"

bourbon is another sub-group of whiskey

the word SCOTCH before whiskey makes it a scotch

Whiskey is a type of liquor.

Bourbon is the American version

Scotch is the Scottish version

etc..
