No obligation whatsoever to do so. I went to LSU and I don't blame the Mannings at all for not encouraging their kids to go there. No reason for them to.

For some that are either a) a bit too emotional about loyalt in sports or b) kind of dim.

I wasn't trying to suggest that the kids should have went to LSU or anything. I guess I'm just surprised LSU/TULANE/ETC. didn't recruit either Payton or Eli.....that was my point. No ill will here.

That's because Archie made it perfectly clear that his boys were too good for LSU. They aren't New Orleanians or Louisianans if they have no love for LSU. Like I said before, screw all the Mannings.

What have you done, Social Tiger? I mean this is a little heavy handed of you considering you have nothing to back any of your assertions up. The Mannings have been very active in the New Orleans community. Furthermore, it's not their responsibility to rebuild hospitals and schools. I don't see the problem with the Mannings being associated with charities and foundations that are based in sports. I mean, this is the business they are in.

You have yet to name one organization they are involved in time wise or financially. What have I done, I have donated small money (based on my small salary) to NORD and wish I could give more. Give me big money ( like the Mannings have) and I would have no problem donating at a minimum my time. In 20 plus years in New Orleans I never heard of Archie at a public school or a public appearence for a non profit organization. Why not give back? Connick Jr, Marsalias, Brad Pitt, etc. have all given back. I asked you to correct my assertations or any one else for that matter. I could be wrong. Like a previous post stated, the Mannings carry themselves like uptown royalty and have never really embraced the whole city from Chalmette to Algiers. Just the Garden District. Yet the entire city made him what he is. A respected fairly good foootball player living in a football hungry city that was the best player on terrible teams. He has lived a pretty good life in New Orlenas and the Saints, the fans, WWL, Mossy OLDS and many others made that possible. On top of that $6000,000 in 1981 was damn good money for good QB, factor the $200,000,000.00 his kids rake in and I think they could help the city more.

You are a fricking idiot, he had a salary of $750,000 in 1977 you fool! That was tops at the time, I would appreciate any team that paid that if I was him.

Tulane

Fail. Tulane doesn't mean shite to anyone outside of a few snobs in New Orleans. LSU is the school for all the people of Louisiana.

The Mannings should go back to Mississippi where they came from.

Are we really going to come on here and bust Archie's chops for supporting his kids. As the men that many of us claim to be, no matter what our kids are doing we support them. Whether it be sports, drama, or playing in the band. To sit here and talk about a man supporting his children, maybe you should ask your kids if they feel they get enough support from you. Archie has big enough balls to know that he once played for the Saints, but his family is first....maybe you should reach down and size your balls up.
