This situation is retarded and the way some of these guys handle their own recruiting is beyond my belief. They should not commit unless they are absolutely, positively sure they are going to that school. I know we are dealing with "kids" (im only 20 and dont personally use the word often) but they are expected at their age to make mature decisions. If i wasn't 100% sure i was going to a school (he was committed to LSU since last spring for god's sake) then i would not commit. They are taking scholarships from other people that want to be here.

My heart agrees with you, but in my head I know that it's all a big game. And these "kids" (I'm 27) are more likely being stupid and/or manipulated than actually pulling the strings. Parents, coaches, pastors, etc. are in their ear all the time. Say what you want, a 17 year old still defers to most adults. And when some of these adults are legitimate celebrities (as Kiffin, Saban, Carroll, Meyer, etc. are) they can have a great deal of influence. It pisses me off when a commit breaks his word, but all you can really do is hope that we pull some other team's 4-star.

honestly, it's not all their fault. Some of these kids are told to do this to up their value or are told to do this by other coaches. These are 18 year old kids and parents who are not well versed in negotiation/recruiting. They don't know what's going on.

The link will not work so Is there anything on it other than just talk from Vol fans?I'm talking about a link to an article or somehting like that.We all know that Vol fans are very emotional and sometimes run with things when something bad happens at their program. Not meant as a slight to Vol fans, just saying that they are famous for overreacting and running with any statement that has been said.Thanks.

"Don't hate the playa.....hate the game."

If this kid had some BS cooking with Lane Kiffen, I hope he stays far away from LSU.

Bottom Line
Our coaching Staff can stay in touch but need to concentrate on other WR recruits.

I think they know he's not coming to LSU.
