Must have been the condition of the field. I understand that 50,000 groundskeepers were watching.

I never can believe the ratings. Here's the confusing games no one had interest in:

Gator Bowl was down? Bobby's last game wasn't a draw?

TCU-Boise down 21% from last year? Doubtful with two undefeateds

A&M vs UGA up 150%? Who gave a crapola?

Who in their right mind would have watched more than 10 minutes of this game that wasn't actually at the game.

Absolutely horrendous.

This shows the big boys draw the money. Texas and Ohio State will always outdraw TCU-Boise, no matter what the situation/records.

Maybe the people involved in the bowl do. The more I look around LSU fans really do have a bad reputation.

Penn State has a huge national following so it doesnt really surprise me. On top of everyone in the southeast watching the game.

I watched every minute of it. Upon hearing about the weather conditions, I knew it would be something to tune in to. Whats not to love about a mud bowl?

Why would anybody watch a football game just because it was Bowden's last? It's not like he does anything worth watching.

You don't understand that Texas-Ohio State is a much bigger draw than two mid-majors?

You don't understand that A&M-Georgia is a much bigger draw than Northern Illinois-Louisiana Tech?

I really thought LSU was going to win and they were ahead and they had the ball. The Penn State defense outside coverage really hugged the sidelines so maybe the screen pass at the end(I did not see it) might have worked with a first down to move the chains. LSU goal line defense was terrific except Coach Chavis does not know how or when to blitz the extra man, in fact he does not do it, maybe he does not have a clue. With running backs Scott, Williams and Murphy injured LSU did well to be leading in the 4th Qtr.

TCU in 08 averaged bout 30,000 per game and Boise just a tad more. That ranks them in the 70ies as to attendance. If they don't draw all that great in the homes states, why would they do that much better nationally?

Good teams but when placed together in a game what's the draw?
