Bad Time to be Without a Coach

Without getting too in-depth about LSU's coaching staff situation, should we be happy just to have a full staff right now? It seems like a lot of teams are having trouble filling coaching voids. Kiffin was USC's 4th or 5th choice and it looks like Norm Chow isn't going to take over the OC position, GA is having trouble filling their DC position, TN can't even get anyone to interview at this point, and the Buffalo Bills can't get anyone (including the interim coach) to interview for that job. Things may not be ideal for LSU, mostly keeping GC, but maybe we just don't have a candidate for replacement.
Thoughts?

I think that one thing that people overlook about Miles is that he is pretty stable. He has made quick and strong coaching moves every time an opening has come up. He can make some hires.

When you get to this point in the process the applicant pool shrinks considerably.
Saban did not do LSU any favors when he waited till Christmas to accept the NFL job. He eliminated several coaches up to that point.
Ideally, you fire a coach right after the season and hire another one.
When coaches leave though for another job like Carroll and Saban, I think that's the best time to promote from within. LSU should've hired Muschamp or Fisher in that situation.
