7-5

I'd say that's the good side of the range of likely outcomes. 2-2 outside of SEC play is a strong possibility, and there are really only two SEC games in which we will be clearly favored. So, the potential is there to go as badly as 4-8, although that's if every game that is in doubt goes against us. Likelihood is that about half of them will go our way, so we probably win two and lose two and finish 6-6. This will be the first time in about 10 years that we've started a season with this many (4) games that are pretty much already in the books as losses. Florida, Alabama, Ole Miss and Arkansas are games we very likely will lose. Auburn, Tennessee, West Virginia and North Carolina are games that are very much in doubt, while MSU, Vandy and the two OOC nobodies are very likely wins.

4-8 is worst case, 8-4 is best case, 6-6 splits the difference, and 7-5 is on the high side.

That's a rather ridiculous assesment. LSU plays in the SEC, its not exactly shocking that they have few games that are locked in as wins. I don't care how good they are, that will be the case. Second, the idea that LSU has 4 probable losses on their schedule is downright insane. As far as Ole Miss goes there is no particular reasons that they will be better especially with Snead leaving. Arkansas will be a fight, but a sure loss of course not. And shoot, its not like LSU got throttled by Alabama or Florida this year so there not even sure losses. Football is a sport, there is no such thing as certainty in results. Not to mention that LSU is an upper tier SEC team for whom there is no such thing as a sure loss.

Personally I'm kinda happy Alem is gone. He was no good when it came to run defense and he continually would get to far up field. Plus he runs like a goof ball.
