The guy was just stating his point of view jackass! I love how a lot of people on here take pot shots at people for making a statement on what there point of view is. The name calling is f****** childish. I think his point is that they both play in weak arse conferences. I am not sure where they would fall in the SEC, but I would think it would be some place around were MSU and Vanderbilt are.

I mean come on, Mountain West and Western Athletic

Straight from the other thread about TCU & Boise...
quote:

You do realize that the entire SEC only has 3 ranked teams (one of them LSU). UF & Bama are very good. But the rest of the SEC is nothing special. Just look at the bowl games.

Maybe they do get killed by Fla or Bama. What does that mean? Plenty of good teams would. The rest of the SEC is mediocre, at best. Either of those teams would be the 3rd best SEC team and the best team in some BCS conf. To say they don't deserve it is just weak.
And I've long been against these non-BCS teams. But you can't deny that those teams are very good (& they've been doing it for a while now). Cincy is much more of a farce than either of those teams.

agreed. UF would annihilate those teams. In comparison with the SEC I'd say Boise is Arky and TCU is USCe. Neither has won an SEC title since....

Put them in SEC then they would have a luxury that SEC teams have. They would then have more revenue, larger recruiting base, and lets not forget they both have good coaches. In SEC they would attract more talent than what they currently have. Not to say would win SEC every year but they would be better than 6 win teams.

They'd be the 3rd best team in the conference.

This year's team would destroy us.

i'm so sick of hearing this freakin "if they played in the SEC" bullshite. Boise and TCU would have both skullfricked LSU this year. these are the same morons who say "coach Peterson/Patterson/Kelly, they would never make it in the SEC". go talk to Urban Meyer and find out if he "works" in the SEC. I would love to have Patterson or Peterson at LSU.

Get over it. Both are solid teams that did what they needed to do this year with much less money than LSU. We (LSU) would lose to either team if they played today despite our superior athletes. You don't win 12 and 14 by being a bad team.

Yeah, Boise State sucks. That's how they beat Oklahoma 3 years ago in the Fiesta Bowl. They would have beaten LSU this year.

Both would have wore LSU out this year. I doubt if you would have scored 10 points on either team.

Granted that playing in a week-in, week-out tough conference brings some challenges that neither Boise St. or TCU are probably ready for. Both would probably picked-up a loss or two.

That being said, only Bama and UF would've finished ahead of them this yr.

Now for the other side of this. Give their coaching staffs SEC quality athletes and my guess is they would have handed out some tail-whuppin's in the SEC.

Looked like two well-prepared, well-coached teams going at it last night.

Outside of AL and Florida, the SEC hasnt looked that great this year and Florida is the only one that looked good in a bowl. The Big10 has been better in the bowls.

Agreed. They both would do ok but would not hold up to the week in week out tough schedule.
