After the first game (i think), i made a thread predicting that dickson's best football days were behind him and he would have a bad season. Then the entire board condemned my arse. 20 rec for 150 yards. It's ashame because i used to think this guy had the best hands on the team. He's definitely a good TE. So why the hell was such a talent excluded from the offensive scheme. A good TE can really help a struggling quarterback.

If you predicted it, shouldn't you know the answer to your own question?

Do you just make predictions with no logical reasons?

Didn't stop them from throwing to Toliver all season long.

Underused all year long......not sure why Jefferson didn't use him as a "safety blanket" throughout the year.

He was not excluded from the offense any more than anyone else. When you average only about 50 plays per game, no one gets as many touches as they should.

We had the double whammy this season...an offense that could not execute and get any 1st downs, and a defense that couldn't stop 3rd down plays.

Dickson did drop several passes on the season for whatever reason, and that also contributed to is bad numbers. Having a QB that could not go thru progressions also didn't help because the TE is seldom the primary receiver.

See RS as well... this team had to overcome a bad OL and ridiculously bad game planning by the coaching staff. That makes it tough.

i think if dickson and d. peterson would've been used more it could have helped alot, but les miles once again has no clue.
all u have to do is watch the games, the way we're coached, and it's easy to see the person running this team is greatly underachieving and is not qualified to coach a team of this caliber!

After his sophmore year he was predicted to be drafted early his junior year. Only bad thing is our dumb coaches haven't used him since then. I am surprised his brother is coming to LSU.

He was injured for part of the season.

We had no other blocking TE's.

If we're going to throw to the TE, we need one that can create the most separation, and Deangelo Peterson has more speed to do this.

TE routes are closer to the middle of the field, a place we avoid like the plague.

Dickson's best chance to be utilized would have been as a moving target in the seams, but our passing game does not include a QB capable of hitting moving targets consistently in the seams.

Maybe, just maybe that family knows more about what is really going on with the team? Ya think? Sorry. It's obvious that you don't think. Continue with your mindless drivel.

No we don't. See the next to last play vs: Penn State.

I'm sorry. Let me clarify. Passes where the ball actually travels forward to a moving receiver between the hashes.

In relation to the TE, this would be over LB's and under safeties.

I'm curious. Why did you post that? What was your reasoning?

Are you really asking why a TE didn't thrive in an offense that was ranked #107?

Newsflash: The entire offense was terrible.

I think he was kept in as a blocker on a lot of plays.
