Why is there so much negativity on this board about Day. I know the kid personally and he is a typical teenager. He isn't a bad kid but even I will admit he has come along way since this time last year.

Stewart was frustrated that Day kept blocking him and Stewart retaliated numerous times. You can't deny the kid talent and like I said before he is a good kid but he can get mean on the football field.

I wasn't directing that to anyone in particular. It was a general assessment. Didn't mean to offend anyone.

Maybe if the LSU coaches would have seen that he'd gotten an offer. I've seen OL from your saintly rebels unload on other players ribs with fists. It's part of football. I'm not saying it's warranted but it happens. Doesn't mean a kid has character issues. Just he got hot headed when he was 17 during a football game.

See thats where we differ.

What happens in between the whistle is usually ok by me. Its the after the play crap that shows "classlessness" and Ill admit WM does have moments when their kids have extra activity after a play. But Ive never seen anything like Stewart vs Day last year. The fact he wasnt thrown out was the most shocking part.

Punching someone in the ribs and balls is fine if it's during the whistle? I'm just going to say that yall have dished it for years and I'm not saying that what he did was classy. But, that doesn't mean the kid has character issues.

That's the way it works Steve.

Chop blocking someone and tearing up their knee is fine if it happens between the whistles. Hitting someone late is bad.

Pretty clear cut if you ask me.

Chop blocking someones knee and taking them out is as dirty as a late hit. A dirty play is dirty either way. Especially if it's a post and chop. That's not how it is. After the play just gets noticed.

So brandon spikes poking that guys eye wasn't dirty in yalls opinion b/c the whistle wasn't blown yet.

This is a clean play in yalls mind?
Dirty as hell

Everyone knows if your team is going to win in West Monroe you have to play borderline tough/dirty.

Actually that's the worst strategy imo. Most of the time WM is sleep walking against the shitty Shreveport teams. Dirty play wakes them up and usually gets Shows to hang a big number on the board.

Also if I remember correctly it wasn't late hits that everyone had a problem with in that game. I'm pretty sure he threw multiple punches and received multiple personal fouls.

I wasn't there i just like getting WM fans fired up. They are clearly not sleep walking and that final score was like 14-3 or something like that. They're getting ready for playoffs. I've coached against them.

I just think their idea of what is clean is wrong. Do you think you can take a players knee out as long as it's during a play and it be ok?

I was one of the ones bitching about Stewart and it was legitimate. I'm not claiming that he has character issues...get off of that shite.

I said he was hot headed and made the game a personal battle with a couple of West Monroe players. If you have coached like you say you have, then you know that you can't make your role a personal battle with individual players to the point that you lose your cool.

He played extremely dirty and should have been ejected from the game...twice.

I don't necessarily look at that as a character issue, but I think it's absolute bullshite that you call it a tactical ploy against West Monroe.
That's admitting that you can't win without resorting to cheap horse shite. If he would've been ejected like he should have, would the ploy have worked???

Defend him all you want, it proves that you're the one with character issues.

It wasn't my comments. It was WMRebel74569's. You need to tune up your sarcasm meter if you didn't realize my response was a joke.
