My in laws got me a Blu Ray for Christmas. Pretty cool, right? I hooked it up last night and watched Terminator 4. The problem is that I really couldn't really tell the difference between the Blu Ray and a dvd. All I had to hook it up with was the blue, green, and red cables and an RCA cable for the audio. FWIW I have a 72" DLP with 1080P.

Will getting an HDMI cable make that big of a difference or am I doing something wrong here?

You need the HDMI cables; they make a huge difference.

not every blu ray movie benefits much from the HD. I was disappointed with V for Vendetta.. but on the other hand, Star Trek (2009) in blu ray looked spectacular.
