quote:this is the typical attitude of people who can't support their position but continue to believe the points in bold. hence, the reason for the op.
This post is a joke, but I dont feel like disputing pretty much every other sentence, because I dont feel like arguing with you and all of Miles' crusaders but
quote:people, if you read the entire statement, it's clear that i said miles is paid for MULTIPLE things, one of which is winning. thus, the statement that in game mistakes are not acceptable is a flawed idea. the people who pay his salary judge him on the big picture. rantards have no idea what the big picture is. he was given a raise because the people who did so believe that his success on the field was indicative of his overall success as a coach. but let's continue to blow any mistakes out of proportion
why was he given a raise after WINNING the NC?
quote:absolutely. it's implied. that's why coaches hire compliance officers.
So we pay coaches based on thier ability to keep us out of trouble with the NCAA?
quote:his successes have far outweighed any failures.
If anyone wants to give Miles credit for making good hires, then give him credit for hiring DJ McCarthy too.

If they hire complaince officers then why give Miles credit for doing the compliance officers jobs? The compliance officer does it, not Miles-according to you, right?

Its clear what you said, and that you are trying to give credit to miles in others areas to make up for his lack of winning the last 2 seasons. Thats what is clear.

I agree with most of what you said, but this is not accurate. Coaches do not hire compliance officers. The athletic department does. LSU compliance officer is named Miriam Segar, a former LSU women's basketball player. Her boss is Alleva and before that was Bertman. She has been working for LSU for years.
