#1 ranked CB on Rivals & #5 on Scout. Signed with Bama. Played in 11 games & 3 solo tackles? Guess he was underutilized. The opposite of Patrick Peterson, the #1 CB on Rivals the year before?

Maybe you should give him another year?

Bama's corners are playing great football right now.

only 3 tackles? that surprises me, he seemed to be in on alot of special teams tackles. he does have atleast 2 NFL corners in front of him, dont forget

Honestly, its the same situation as we have with Randle. 2 starters ahead of him are just better players right now. That being said, I don't think Arenas should have been first team All-SEC as a corner.

This thread got me interested in Bama's depth chart for next year so I took a quick peek.

28 Javier Arenas | 5-9, 198, Sr., 3V
24 Marquis Johnson | 5-11, 192, Sr., 3V
1 B.J. Scott | 5-11, 188, So., 1V

3 Kareem Jackson | 5-11, 192, Jr., 2V
1 Chris Rogers | 6-0, 195, Sr., 3V
21 Dre Kirkpatrick | 6-3, 185, Fr., HS

It looks like they lose three corners. That could be huge. Jackson will likely start next year, and then BJ Scott and Kirkpatrick will compete for the other spot.

But Bama needs corners. They've got Milliner and Belue coming in....and it looks like they may need those freshmen next year.

All in all....Bama will be talented at corner next year, but not experienced and not deep. Should be interesting.

Has he submitted papers to the NFL? Rumor is he could be an early entry. Been a starter for 3 years...

You think they could have won a few more games this season if Dre woulda played more? Oh wait, nevermind.

He shouldn't have been.

Then he got coached up.

It doesn't seem fair when other teams do that for their players and LSU doesn't.

That's just the way it is.

Let's just keep it like this.

Wow so Bama could have two new starters next year? I have to admit, that is an exciting prospect.

another backhanded comment......that's all this board has become anyway.....

Besides that, what does playing in the national championship game have to do with his individual numbers that the poster is bringing to light?

With the pending rookie salary coming in 2010, I think we see more juniors come out than normal. Including the marginal top 3 round guys.

If bama wins the NC he may bolt. Hell Coffee left and he was a 3rd rounder if I remember right.

about as much as those individual numbers themselves have to do with evaluating DK's talent level and the coaches' utilization of him

and also about as much as that Bama hat has to do with the Braves

I'm not for backhanded comments either, but you only pointed out the guy that said something that could be seen as negative to LSU.
