SFP!!! I used to respect ya. But you talk about shite YOU haven't lived through. However. I don't follow as much as I used to. SO if YOU want to talk about shite that has happened in the last 10 years, You may have a point. This comes when you are GROWN UP and have OTHER things you must do.

I have FORGOTTEN more about sports than you will EVER know. So GROW THE frick UP AND REALIZE THIS!!!!

the miami probation changed the game

You are making assumptions you have no way of proving. You obviously are clueless in the Miami situation. You have no idea how rotten that program had become. 20 years from the fact things look different to those who were not a witness.

You have been defending that program for what...5 pages now. Obviously not.

warriors were not expected to be civil, especially on the battlefield. the warrior code.

true warriors were never fully part of civilized society

this is why hector's son cries when he enters the home with his helmet on, and stops when the helmet is removed

it's symbolic of this strange social dichotomy

the SAME THING exists in sports, movies, etc. anything that is larger than life is not part of ordinary society

trying to compare a game of violence played by super athletes who are on performance enhancing chemicals to ordinary society is a fool's errand

Slow I don't always agree with your posts but they are always interesting. Nice work.

I think that the U were a great team in the 80's. But I was there and YOU weren't. SO STFU and sit down with someone that can get through your thick head.

bty we see how far that got the U. They are as washed up as FSU, Notre Dame, Michigan, etc. I'll take a team that wins with class.

Yeah, I always wanted LSU to play like criminals out on weekend furlough and get 200 yards in penalties (mostly for taunting and personal fouls) like the U did against Texas in that Cotton Bowl.

That would make me proud.

I'm sure you wouldn't want the 4 titles in 9 years either

What I really wish our team could have that those Miami teams had is that us against the world mentality. It was so impressive how well they played against the big teams and how nobody was gonna come into the Orange Bowl and beat them. Death Valley has lost its intimidation and some of it is the fans but most of it is because the team just isn't intimidating anymore.

That run will simply never be repeated. I hated the Canes at the time. But they were the most dominant team and program in my lifetime and of the modern era. They simply showed up week after week and big game after big game and simply kicked people's arse with no apologies. I think LSU captured some of that from '03 to '07 but it was nowhere near the level that Miami brought to college football from '83-'93.

Why does it seem people never use the term "thugs" when describing white people?

I like a classy but physical football team. I watch 30 for 30 also and told myself I would hate LSU to ever play like that. Looked like a bunch of convicts with green and orange uniforms.

Teams were afraid of them. Miami had a mental advantage before the game even started. Teams aren't afraid to play LSU anymore. That's what LSU needs to get back.

below are the last known white thugs, though Shockey can display thugish behavior on occasion.
