It looks to me like the blindness would be in your love for him. There is no overwhelming hatred of Les Miles. Quite the contrary, most fans really like Les Miles as a person, though not necessarily as a coach, anymore.

Certainly the numbers are comparable, but that is where it ends.

The issue with Miles is not his record, or the hatred for him. It is quite simply, that he is paid commensurate with the top coaches in the country; however, the product on the field does not appear to be well coached at all. In a nutshell, we are paying for a Ferrari, and are getting an economy sedan.

Top coaches shouldn't have to learn how to manage a clock. Any idiot can figure out when to call a timeout. Come on, this is not rocket science. I can recall at least 4 times off the top of my head, that Miles has made a clock decision that could only be classified is confounding.

1. Ole Miss this year, nuff said there.
2. Georgia this year. End of the first half, we let the clock run down without burning our timeouts or trying to advance the ball into closer field goal range. Halftime interview makes it look as if Miles did not realize we had timeouts left, or he thought it was 4th down, which it was not.
3. Auburn 2007. We are in field goal range, but almost let time run out by throwing a long pass for a TD, when only a FG was necessary. Flynn takes the blame for an audible. Who's in charge? We come away with the win, but does anybody really think we did the smart thing here?
4. Early in Miles first season, I can't recall if it was Arizona State or Tennessee, he frantically calls a timeout after we intercept the ball. WHY???? The clock was already stopped.

This is elementary stuff. How can he continually screw this stuff up? This is not 4 million a year coaching. I don't care what his record is, it doesn't matter.
