for years to come.

Why didn't he do so at LSU? This is legit. All I see are posts from Ms. Cleo's assistants that Alabama will win the West for the next 34 years because there's no one to stop him.

He didn't do so at LSU. Why is that?

FTR, this post is for people that forget about attrition and seniors and juniors moving on. It seems that LSU is the only team that has this happen and no one else.

Again, I'm not here to advocate Miles....

Bammers claim everything..national titles in the past, titles in the future, recruiting championships, incest, fewest teeth, etc..

Because most people can't see the forest from the trees. Alabama is hot right now, people are getting on the bandwagon. Just like they did for LSU during their run and UF on their run.

IMO, there are too many good coaches and programs in the SEC for ANY team to dominate.

I think Bama under Saban will be the team to beat in the West, and it will be the exception that Bama is not in the SECCG. I dont know if Bama's situtation was so much better than LSU's when Saban started at each, but theres no denying that Bama is rolling on the field and in recruiting, and last year's 12-2 actually improved. Petrino will do some good things at Arky and occasionally LSU might play up to its ability, but Bama seems consistent.

you dont think Saban could have taken what he built and gone AT LEAST 10-2, 10-2, 12-2 with a NC!! if you dont think he could have equaled or better that your insane...

Answer: Because the SEC office didn't instruct refs to call games in LSU's favor on a weekly basis.

Amazing. I seem to recall only horrendous officiating in Tuscaloosa prevented LSU from having a shot at defeating the 'Tide. Throw in the bad fortune of the trifecta of injuries and it's difficult to understand how folks could construe 'Bama into being so much better than LSU right now. They are simply a little better, particularly in line play. If the exact same scenario plays out next year in Baton Rouge only with 'Bama getting the official shaft and a couple of key injuries, then LSU would probably prevail. The talent levels are close and could swing back to LSU just as easily next year. Do we need the coaches to call a better game and do a good job of "coaching up" all this talent. Damn right. But I believe the Tigers will be the most legitimate threat to defeat Alabama next season. JMHO.

Because he now has Mike Slive and the SEC refs to insure the victories.

If you honestly have to ask this question, you fail at following sports, and I suggest taking up needlepoint.

He has gotten better, that's why. Miles hasn't.

That's debatable.

Who's going to stop him? Who? Nobody has in the last two years. Are Les Miles and Gary Crowton going to all of a sudden pull a rabbit out of their hats in 2010? Is Chris Garrett the next Tommy Hodson in waiting? Not gonna do it with the same OC running the same shite with the same QB.

That coach we aren't suppossed to mention last coached an LSU team in the 2004 season. That's ancient history. He's older, more experienced and probably has the intelligence to learn from the mistakes he's made in the past.

Let's see now, he went undefeated in the 2008 regular season in just his second season at the Neanderneck school, then turned around and went undefeated in the regular season again this year, then kicked UF's arse in the SEC Championship game and will probably win the NC in his third year. He did that with a new starting QB and THREE new OL starters in 2009.

Meanwhile LSU goes through the Miles inflicted Mallveto Monster/Gary Crowton inflicted Jarrett Lee debacles in 2008 and follows that up with more massive Crowton offensive dysfunction, (particularly appalling considering the physical talent we have on offense) questionable OL coaching and a few pure "luck out" wins against weak sisters State and R-Kansas. Hey, don't forget about the embarassing end of game Ole Miss brain dead folly, which has national sports broadcasters now referring to time management coaching mistakes as "Pulling a Les Miles."

I do like the Frank Wilson hire and hope that it's followed up by the hiring of a great teaching WR coach, not just a great recruiter that can't teach jack like DJM. Crowton and Stud should be shown the door as soon as the bowl game is over, but have serious doubts if that's going to go down. No reason to think without a new OC/OL coach that we have what it takes on the sidelines to challenge the Gumps for the next few years. New OC/OL coach and a great teaching WR coach, along with Wilson, will make it more probable, (not certain) that we could catch that other school.

And hey, dont's be hatin on Ms.Cleo. She be uh fine outstandin sistah, you know..........

I would say he has done a better job with this Bama team than he did any year while at LSU. So I agree he improved since leaving.
