That story was a load of crap.

I thought the editor promised me a few months back that the shotty journalism from Hodges Hall was gone...typical.

That article was bullshite. Why would a "former player" know what the frick was going on anyway. He's talking about Pellini leaving, which was 2 years ago. Rachel Whittaker, sorry, you journalistic career is over.

I don't remember the Reveille sucking this much when I was a student.

Well the put it on the front page of the print version, above the fold.
You can't pull that.

Good to know the Reveille checks their sources to be legit.
Some doozies in there are the claim that this only became known AFTER the Arky game is laughable. Really, this writing has to be the worst I've ever seen as far as credibility, integrity, and quality.
This girl needs to go learn to be a checker or greeter at Wal-Mart because she in NO WAY ever deserves a job in media.

Well IF it is true, what will this mean for LSU Football??

Of course it was pulled. LSU has already stated there were violations regarding a former play or something like that. How dare the Reveille get some info and put it out there for public consumption. They were probably threatened with a suit of some sorts. It'll come out.

When I worked on campus, I had several unfortunate encounters with this sorry excuse for journalism (the Reveille).
Due to the role I served on campus, there were many instances where I was "persuaded" by higher administration to deal with these kids. If I had a dollar for every time myself, or someone in my office was misquoted in order to sensationalize a stupid story, I could retire today. It even got to the point where WE would record our interviews with them. Yes, I bought my own personal tape recorder just as a backup for interviews with this joke of a newspaper, and these morons would still purposefully screw it up. And of course, IF we got a retraction, it was weeks later on a back page.
The LAST dealing I had with the Reveille involved a graduate who admitted to me she was trying to "break a good story" to put on her vita in order to get into grad school. I won't get into the details of what went down, but this little witch lied through her teeth on a story. I played back the tape of the interview to those in higher administration who encouraged me to talk with these morons, and after this incident, I got permission to turn them down for interviews until I eventually left LSU.
Long story short: Don't believe a damn thing that comes out of the Reveille unless it is a box score. And for those of you who worked there and are defending this story: I would expect nothing less.
