Who's been? I made reservations over the Christmas holidays.

I have been several times...dinner or lunch?
I am assuming dinner...upstairs is more quiet, but I really like the ambience of the downstairs. They mix excellent drinks, including a very good sazerac. The tempura shrimp over grapefruit is very good...I know its sounds weird or mundane but it really is interesting and good (and I don't even like grapefruit). The crabcakes are good as was the oyster app. Those are the constants...the rest does change often. The flank steak I had was also very good. I also had a rabbit dish with housemade pasta at lunch that was memorable.

We're going for dinner with a group that likes good cocktails and a lively atmosphere. It sounds like we should request a table downstairs?
I love a good sazerac. Thanks for the tips.

Yes...I would. Upstairs was only half full when I went and very quiet....it may be more lively if full.
The sazerac are a little different than others I have had, but are good. They infuse their own vodkas and bourbons. There is a bacon infused boubon that has a featured drink on the menu...I forget the name, but it was very interesting...strangely enough the drink ends up kind of tasting like egg nogg?!
