this reminds me a few years ago when saben was coach, Corner plays soft on play and opponent able to get first down, saban blows up in players face, next time that happens he jumps all over the player stopping him before the first down,

if a coach believes that his players have talent and ability, he owes it to them to chew their arse out if they are not playing to that capability.
i hate it when the coach is smiling at the kid after a royal screw up. he needs to let him know that he is better than that kind of mistake, and the expectations for him are set high, and he better damn well live up to them.
this applies to everything in life - school, work. did you learn more in classes where the expectations were high or where the teacher babied you along?
