Who wouldn't want to get back on that coaching merry-go-round . I heard the same arguments in the 70's when Charlie Mac was here, then we spent 25 years searching for a coach that could come close to duplicating what Mac did. Remember, we were actually exited about the weed wacker bowl in Shreveport in the 90's . Yeah, Les screwed up, badly, but the problem is not as bad as the meltdown I see on here. Yeah, we lost to Bama & UF, they are Damn strong teams, 1 & 2 to be exact. The Ole Miss loss is totally on Miles, but certainly not worth firing him over.
Who do you think would come here knowing the winningest coach in LSU history got fired because he had two 8 or 9 win seasons. Then when Michigan came calling a few years ago, some of you had the gall tho question Miles' loyalty ! Where is our loyalty? If we want a stable program, make sure our recruits know they will play their career with the same coach they signed with. That is it!

Yes or no question:
Is LSU a well coached team?
Is LSU a well coached team?

A coach that thinks that he is better than Les and can win with talent thats already on the team.

Wow...
It's not just because of the losses.
It's not just because of the losses.
It's not just because of the losses.
It's not just because of the losses.
It's not just because of the losses.
LOOK at how we are losing. LOOK what Miles did last night. What other coach has done something like that?

Anyone who sees the talent we have on these 8 win teams that could be 10+ win teams with the proper coaching. You need to remember that coaches have the biggest egos in the world, and plenty of coaches would relish the opportunity to coach the talent on this team and in this state.

Charlie Weis wishes you were the ND AD.

Michigan never came calling for miles you idiot. They never wanted him. Miles wanted to go but Michigan didn't want him!

Give me your all star list of assistant coaches who would want to coach for Les? If three or four coaches leave who would replace them? He won't add much to a resume.

He needs to get fired because we have 10 to 11 win-a-season talent but only get 8 to 9 wins a season.

This. LSU fans are absolutely the worst.

If you are scared, say you are scared.
LSU deserves competence.
LSU deserves competence.

We did better in the first 9 years after he was gone than we did in the last 9 years he was here.

Dumbest argument ever. Auburn fired Terry Bowden in midseason with a 47-17-1 record and got Tuberville (a hot commodity at the time). Florida fired Zook and got Meyer. Alabama fired Dubose and got Franchione, then fired Shula and got Saban. Georgia fired Donnan and got Richt. Texas fired Akers and got Mack Brown.
Bottom line...if you are a big time program and will pay big bucks, no prospective new coach is going to ignore you out of some principled objection to how you treated the previous coach. That whole line of argument is just pure unadulterated bullshite.

A program that goes 0-12 every year and keeps the same coach is stable. Stable is only good if it's good.

That's just it. They didn't come calling. Michigan never offered their job to Miles and he never turned it down. Herbstreit broke the news prematurely, Miles couldn't get confirmation from Michigan, so he had to do something, and he did.

Yeah if anything, the only reason Miles stayed is because we busted him trying to leave us for Michigan before anything was set in stone so we gave him an offer he couldn't refuse.

They will be lucky to play after sitting two years on the bench no matter how good they might be.
