Serious question from an Ole Miss fan....

1)Do you guys truly believe you were the better team on the field last night?
2) Do you truly believe that had Miles called the timeout when 24 seconds were still on the clock, that the outcome would have been different?
I just don't see how you could say yes to either of these. You were significantly outgained, lost TOP by a wide margin, had no running game, and threw for 90+ yards of your passing yardage at the end of the game, including the hail mary.
I don't disagree that is was a blunder by Miles with time management, but IMO, and it's nothing more than that, you were lucky to be in the game at that point. With the two early TD's called back, both on extremely questionable calls, and a bloced FG that bounces perfectly for Lafell to return, you were able to stay in a game that I think the better team won.
I truly am not flaming.....hell, the last thing I want to see is Miles gone and Tuberville brought in. Im just curious if you guys felt like you were the better team last night.

We would have had more time so it was definitely possible.

Better talent, yes.
Better team, no.

I believe if we wouldnt have thrown it 3 times from the fricking thirty we would have won the game. Would have been about a 40 yard field goal

This shows how retarded you are.
Do you think there is a really good chance that we miss a 25 yard FG to win the game?

Doesn't really matter. We have a FG kicker who can make it from 50 yards. We run a couple of plays up the middle on first and second down to move about 5-10 yards closer and I feel pretty confident that Jasper would have kicked the game winning FG.

No. I also truly think the unsportsmanlike call for diving into the EZ was one of the most moronic calls I've ever seen. I agree with the block in the back call but that extra 15 yards on top of it made a big difference.

were probably the worse team on the field last night... played badly
should have still won the game (at least better than 50% shot) if they didn't screw it up at the end

1) No.
2) Yes. There would have been enough time to spike the ball and get the FG team on the field.

Wasn't the 2nd TD that was called back called back during the same drive that began after the 1st TD was called back?
Just sayin.. you are stating it as if you had 2 TD's taken from you, but in reality you just had 1 TD taken from you twice.

Running the ball when you're within field goal range would have been enough, but no... let's drop back the gimpy QB who's been under constant pressure all night with a line and running backs that have been unable to pick up the blitz to save their lives. Let's do it a few times, in fact.
Stevan Ridley through the B-gap on the right side two times would have maybe gotten us a few yards, and at the very least, it would have gotten us in the middle of the field. Then you take the timeout on third down and elect to kick it. That way if it's a botched snap, you get another shot at it.

no, of course we weren't the better team last night. We played down right awful and were unprepared. Not to mention our coaching was abysmal as always. Now with that being said, it says alot about how poor ole miss really is. For all that LSU did wrong, we almost won AT OLE MISS

Better team? Absolutely. Talent-wise, OM << LSU

I'm probably one of the few that think this, but no, it likely would not have been different.

More talent, yes
Better team, no. Its obvious that Ole Miss is a better coached, better conditioned and better executing team than LSU with less talent.
And I am saying this about a Houston Nutt coached team that will never win an SEC championship. Pretty sad.

1)no
2)we were in position to run a couple of plays and kick the game winner...crowton calls for JJ to roll out and takes the sack. That was where coaching botched our oppurtunity to win the game...the final 2 plays of the game was merely a display of Miles sideline incompetence, although our boys still put us in position to win.

Because our coaching is terrible.
We have as much talent as anyone in the SEC.
I don't see how you can say the 15 seconds wouldn't make a difference. We would have ball on your 6 with 16 seconds left. Plenty of time to run the clock to 3 spike the ball and kick the FG.

1) No.
2) Maybe. The FG would not have been a sure thing, but I'd sure have liked to have a shot to win even though we were outplayed.

Hands down McCluster was the best football player on the field for either team. And just think, he was seconds away from being the biggest goat for letting the onsides kick go right by him allowing LSU to recover. That would have been the dumb*uck play of the game.

#1 no...our time mgmt was pathetic...But our PLAYERS put us in a position to win...coaches screwed it up..
#2 Yes...statistics are for losers...the final score is all that matters
Let's talk about McCluster's short arming the On Sides..Ole'...Mangina!
