The more I think about this situation, I believe Arkansas is a lock for The Cotton Bowl regardless of a win or loss on Saturday because of the bowl's tie with Jerry Jones' new stadium.

YES!! The loser may go to outback. It depends on what other teams do though. LSU may be in Memphis at the Liberty.

We may go to the Outback regardless. The East doesn't have any worthy teams after the UGA loss.

Damn I never thought about that. Hopefully if LSU wins they'll get to go, I might make that trip to see them play in the new stadium. Hell I'd even buy standing room only tickets.lol.

If UK beats TENN they are 8-4 and the outback would take them.

the best scenario would be for LSU to drop to the worst bowl possible.

Yeah, this game is for the Cotton Bowl. Ole Miss was for the Capital One.
If it's LSU that wins, Arkansas is at 3-5 and fighting with Tennessee and/or Kentucky for the Chik-Fil-A Bowl. They might even end up in a Tennessee bowl - Nashville for the Music City, Memphis for the Liberty.
If it's Arkansas, LSU will almost certainly return to Atlanta for the Chik-Fil-A Bowl. You'll want to hope and pray for Kentucky to beat Tennessee, though - that would leave Georgia in second place in the East, with the same record as LSU. LSU has head-to-head and *might* go to the Outback.

Based upon on the number of posters here declaring they are no longer supporting LSU as long as Coach Miles is the HC and will not attend the game this Saturday or a bowl game, no worries, you could possibly have an entire row for yourself, no need to stand.

I'm not following the money trail here. What ties does Arkansas have that I'm overlooking?

You really think the Outback takes Kentucky over LSU?

They would because they try to take an SEC East team and to be REAL UK is more deserving of the Outback than LSU IS!!!!

Jones was a player at Arkansas in the early 60's and probably their 2nd largest financial supporter behind the Waltons.

Why would the Peach want LSU again and since they're playing in Atlanta by a Peach sponsored game to open the season next year? Maybe it would be a good, thing but I would think they would want anther team.

If they hadn't already played there once this year, then maybe.
