it's probably in my top 10 or 15 of all time.

too many good scenes.

the scene with arquette and gandolfini (sp?) was raw as hell. great stuff.

The Arquette/Ganfolfini and Walken/Hopper scenes were amazing, but it was a disappointing film overall. Something about it was just off, I think it's on Scott and the two main characters being not nearly as interesting as the supporting characters. Slater and Arquette aren't bad actors, but it was a really bad outing from them. And IIRC, it was scored horribly. Like, bad enough for me to notice how poorly scored it was, which is rare. I wish Tarantino would have directed it similarly to Reservoir Dogs, he'd have put some great music in there.

I totally agree. I have seen this movie many times and find it to be completely underrated. The scenes are awesome, Slater and Arquette do terrific jobs, Walken and Hopper almost steal the whole damn movie.

Too many great scenes and very fine jobs by all the cameos.

This is one of those movies that I don't think gets enough love.

There are 3-4 scenes in this movie that absolutely kill.

1. The Drexel scene
2. Hopper/Walken
3. Arquette fight with GAndolfini
4. Elevator scene with Slater and Pinchot.

Tons of greatness in this movie.

Definitely in the Top 3 of best movies that most people have never heard of.

Does it kinda seem like the movie was built around the 4-5 main scenes?

Why do people continue to say things like this? Everyone is always yapping about how much they love this. It gets a 7.9 on IMDB.

The movie is neither obscure nor underrated. Rather, it's very well known and massively overrated.

Well, I've been frequenting this board for a couple of years now, and I've seen about three threads on it. All three wind up saying the same thing, it's underrated.

When compared to the amount of threads a movie like Idiocracy gets or cable shows no one watches, I'd say True Romance isn't talked about very much on this board.
