I suppose you would put, Naked Gun, Major League, There's Something About Mary, and Billy Madison ahead of these. I wouldn't. Comedy is so subjective its very difficult to make a list. I didn't dog your list, so shut up.



When Nature Calls is top ten funny to me, it might be some of the just pure funniest material on the list, IMO:

Fulton Greenwall: My name is Fulton Greenwall, and I am looking for an Ace Ventura.
Ashram Monk: No man here carries with him a label.
Fulton Greenwall: Oh yes, no names. How silly of me. Well, um, he's an American.
Ashram Monk: We are all children of the same life force.
Fulton Greenwall: Yes of course we are.
[thinks]
Fulton Greenwall: He bends over and speaks from his rear.
Ashram Monk: Oh him. Right this way...
(Genius!)


Ace: Excuse me, your balls are showing.
(funniest line ever possibly!)

I mean, he crawls out of a Rhino's butt, he does a slinky down a rediculously long stair and it stops at the last step, cliffhanger jokes, totem pole, it just doesn't stop, monopoly guy....on and on.



I tried to judge overall best movie's and lasting impact (in general) over just funniest. However, your list did remind me of Happy Gilmore, which is hard for me to believe you'd put Billy Madison in front of that one.

Tommy Boy, Joe Dirt, Airplane, Dumb and Dumber, Step Brothers, Small Time Crooks, The Toy, etc...all very very funny movies. But Mars Attacks is epic and I love it.
