No one said he didn't do some shitty stuff but he's not the animal you're portraying him to be.

The only thing Mr. Ramsey Dardar has proven to me is that he functions well in prison. On the street, he was a drug-fueled, career criminal who threatened the lives of the public, in general, and police officers, in particular. He even attacked the BRPD police K-9 that apprehended him under a pier-and-beam house near Baton Rouge High. In that incident, Mr. Dardar refused numerous police orders to peacefully surrender and come out from under the home. Because of Mr. Dardar's actions, the K-9 was sent under the house to apprehend him. Mr. Dardar then stabbed the K-9 in the snout with a long screwdriver he had in his pocket as a burglary tool, causing a severe injury to the K-9.
Dardar then had the gall to sue the BRPD and its K-9 officer for excessive force for deploying the K-9 that he stabbed. (He lost the case.)
Regardless of his status as a former Tiger great, Mr. Dardar is where he needs to be for the rest of his life.

Saw him play in the orange bowl against Nebraska in early 80's. Announcer kept saying how great a player the all american center for Nebraska was. But every time they panned in Dardar was knocking him on his azz. Dardar was beat'n his azz the entire game and the announcers finally shut up about it. That was a hell of a Nebraska team and LSU almost won.

That Nebraska center was Dave Rimingston, for whom the Rimington Trophy is named. And yes, Dardar did just fine against him although it's a bit much to say that Rimington spend half the game on his backside.

I watched that game, LSU forced seven turnovers and still lost 21-20. However, Nebraska was driving deep in LSU territory at the end, the Huskers were so good that seven turnovers still weren't enough.

it was one of my all time fav tigers Lawrence Williams not Burks in the middle

I stand corrected.
How could I forget Williams ... he and Richardson were a great tandem in the middle.

He was a great player, but apparently a lousy person.

Was this the game that LSU came up with 2 fumbles on the Nebraska last drive, but refs claimed they were down. Maybe that was another matchup with Nebraska in the 70's. Oh well, old age is catching up with me.

Dardar robbed my girlfriend-at-the-time's house in the garden district around 1996 in broad daylight and was caught pushing a shopping cart of "goods" in the alley. He even ate my pizza out of her fridge! We often seem surprised when we see this happen to talented atheletes. We think that because we watch them play and interview, we have an idea of their level of maturity and civility. We shouldn't. It's kind of like shooting yourself in the leg because you carried a concealed handgun in a pair of sweat pants into a "club" or deciding that fighting pitbulls is an acceptable recreation.
