I'd pick JR if I wanted to be ahead in the UF game in the 3rd quarter and then have Jamarcus throw an interception that leads to Florida scoring a game winning touchdown, or to be on Floridas 1yd line down 4 pts and have Jamarcus fumble. Jamarcus may have been the most athleticly gifted quarterback in LSU history, but he made mistakes in the most critcal moments. It take Matt Flynn, he ran our offense to perfection in 07

There's some players from the '09 roster that I would like to add to this squad.

Dude, you act like Martin and Davis were scrubs

Eric Martin played in the NFL for 10 seasons and is the Saints career receiving leader.

Davis was the Bears leading receiver for a few years until he completely destroyed both his ACL's due to that shitty turf the Eagles use to have. He still played 6 years in the League

Combined, those 2 receivers played 16 years in the NFL.

Lafell & Tolliver can only hope to play that long in the NFL

Not at all the point. In 2006, we put the team on Russell's shoulders and he delivered in all but 1 game. You can't in good conscious place the Auburn game on his shoulders.

Matt Flynn was one of those "game manager" types and in several games he would frick up and the rest of the team would have to rally in order to secure the win. (Alabama)

Best O-Lineman ever at LSU IMO -RIP. Ask Barry Sanders how important he was to Detroit...

Just to save the fricking morons the trouble of typing it... "But...if he wouldn't have fricked up earlier in the game, he wouldn't have had to lead a come back!!"

Man the fact is that we rallied and we did win. The only reason i include the Auburn game was because on our last drive we had around a minute left and jarmarcus took a crucial sack that took 35 seconds off the clock. Then with one play remaining jarmarcus threw a pass 10 yds from the endzone to a well covered reciever rather than try the endzone. Matt Flynn got the job done, no one can argue than, we won it all

Do I really need to remind you about the bullshite Pass Interference call that predated that final throw?

I can easily argue that we lost to Arkansas and Kentucky because of Matt Flynn. He was a slightly above average quarterback for us. Russell was beastly.
