60% Jefferson- Mostly Pro style. NO OPTION PLAYS or sweeps, passing plays should be rollouts or play action pass ONLY, NO 5 or 7 step drops. Throw the ball long downfield at least 4 times per game. Should be on the sidelines in the red zone.

40% Russell Shepard- Spread option. No long pass plays, mostly options, sweeps, reverses, dives and dink and dunk stuff. Past the 40 yard line, Prominent in the red zone, never when we are backed up in our own endzone.

IT ISN"T THE QB!!!!!! Last year he had a O line and played well!! If you can't run the ball and your QB doesn't have time to throw the ball what does that tell YOU !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I want to believe this and I hate using 2 qbs as much as the next fan but I do not recall another qb holding the ball as long as he does. Next game, start counting on the snap. It is ridiculous how long he had on some of those plays. 6" height advantage, throw the fricking ball. If he is too scared to throw it, give him some time to think about from the sideline. Can you shake his confidence any more?

We keep JJ in right now and rotate Lee in, Jefferson has no vision down the field. He can be an asset because our o-line isn't the greatest this year, so he can make defenders miss, sometimes. He needs to learn to get rid of the football and not take those sacks. I think he is choosing his receiver before the ball is snapped. Lee made a lot of mistakes last season, but all that could have changed. I think Shep should have been redshirted, we have too many young quarterbacks, he's getting lost in there. He is one of the leading rushers on the team, so I have no clue why he was not playing.

Wow...that was depressing. But it looks like it's pretty accurate of what is happening here. I wonder if Les has the Lesticles to get a new OC...just like he did with the DC.

109th in total offense halfway through the season. Time to try something different.

The starting QB should be the guy that has the most confidence and the one who has proven his ability to read the defense and get the ball into the hands of the play makers. We really don’t need a heisman grade QB, all we need is a smart confident QB that can get the ball to play makers with minimal mistakes.

Should we use Russell Shepard? If yes, how often, what downs, and with how many yards to go?

It's to our advantage to come up with play schemes to get the ball into the hands of Russell Shepard. This young man is a special talent to say the least. Whether he is utilized as a QB or in some other capacity, he needs to be on the field. I saw a play in the Georgia game where he and Holiday were in the back field together that paid big dividends. It just seems to me that that combination could be lethal. It's up to the coaching staff to search out these types of player combinations that have great chemistry. I think this certainly is one and I also think they have failed to recognize it.
