we are about 4 inches (and retarded opponent QB play) and 1 bad tackle from losing 3 in a row

Im just glad yall dont have Petrino as a HC, with that defense. Yall would win every game by blowout fashion

If I am not mistaken, he was not available. Shortly afer Miles was hired, he left the redskins

For so strange reason, people seem to think he was a pretty good coach. Why do you think that is with his anything but impressive record at Okie State?
johnson and saban were being courted by the NFL. Miles hasn't and will never be courted by the NFL. Bill Polian was knocking Saban's door not Leslie's.

What are their records compared to Miles?

He was a career 500 coach in a weak conference. If he goes 5-3 in conference this season, that will make him 500 in the SEC with his players and SYSTEMS in place. We caught lightning in a bottle in 2007. He was close to 500 that year, too.

you are mistaken, Spurrier left Washington in 2003.

No you were "Thinking back Les Miles times at Okie State"...and you didn't mean to rile anyone remember? Here it is:

I dont mean to rile anyone up but I was thinking back to Les Miles' time at Oklahoma State and I remember he had similar problems with his offense there.
Miles has a better winning percentage than Saban at LSU. Miles had a better winning percentage than Jimmy Johnson at Okie State.

and saban got the keys to a crackhouse while miles got the keys to a pimp pad in southbeach. big difference in their respective situations arriving at lsu.

Saban had to do some cleaning up after Dinardo in case you forgot. Les didn't have that lil inconvenience.

but the likes of Bill Polian weren't knocking down miles door like with Saban.
Saban had been a DC in the NFL before.

When Saban was hired I thought we stole him at the money we offered him
We made him the 3rd highest paid coach iirc.

b/c i knew he was a hell of a coach.
I'm sure you did.

i was convinced when he did not win the national championship in 2006 that he is just an average coach that is no better than his assistants. i stand by that statement to this day, regardless of backing into a title in 2007. in my eyes he brings absolutely nothing to the table on gameday. sure he is a man of high moral character, but I don't really give a shite about that. win football games, and don't look like an idiot on national tv.
question: how many coaches are there that could've taken over LSU's football program in January of 2005 and had a similar or even better record?
personally, i think it is a VERY long list. les miles is the most overpaid coach in the country.

That's brilliant insight there Mr 20/20 hindsight.
Neither had more impressive records at 2nd tier schools.
