Ate there the other day and it was great. Although most of it wasn't authentic, it's still pretty amazing. I hope they add more!!!

you ordered all the right things (with the exception of lechon kawali)
too many people go there, order the wrong thing, and then say the place sucks.

Exactly right. My favorite dish there is actually the Sinigang na Hipon (the shrimp soup), but it's definitely an acquired taste.

Yeah I know but at the time, it was my first time going there so I didn't have enough money to try the whole menu. But once again I will be going back to try more. Lechc Flan was so delish!!!!!

It isn't authentic Filipino food at all, but I freakin' love their Hawaiian chicken dish. Lots of pineapple, onions, etc. Crazy good. May go there tomorrow night...
Anyone else try the ube "tiger cake"?

The Palabok there blows.

The ube cake is made with purple yams (ube). It's really dense. It's got a really natural sweetness to it.
I don't really know how else to describe it...

quote:i didnt care for it, either. it was not how I thought it would be. the texture of the cracklins were too small and made me think i was hurting my teeth. Also, the noodles were different. it was like vermicelli rice noodles, again not what i remember palabok being.
The Palabok there blows.
While I dont think the dish I tried was very authentic, it was a tasty dish. I got the steak and onions (but the onions only came with 3 tiny onion slices, so i asked for more). I just got rice as my side. Based on my experience, i would go again.
next time i will try the ubi cake
