I just don't see why our D line is "weaker then normal". What is going on with that?

Alexander was the other tackle next to Dorsey on one of our strongest lines ever a few years back. Nevis looked like "The next great LSU lineman" whenever he came in that season. Woods was a 5 star guy out of high school who was supposed to be better then all of these guys. Downs....... somehow looked like he would be the best of all of these guys as a true freshman last week.

Alem made one of the "All SEC" teams last year as a back up.

Is Levingston getting pushed for that starting role?

Palm Beach Tiger... don't know the answer to your questions. A guy told me last night the strength of the def this year is secondary. Scary. So, everyone gets 5 to 10 yards before they get to the cornerbacks? Just kidding.

I think Woods not turning out as good as we thought hurt a bit. And pretty much the entire 2nd/3rd teams are made up of true or RS Freshmen. As good as he is, I think Nevis is about 10 lbs away from being really explosive and dominant. I was disappointed to see him so fat. Levingston is probably slowed a little bit by his broken and casted wrist. (I think he's out for today's game, though). If some of the young guys step up, it's still possible DL winds up a strength. But right now, it's a question mark at best.

Weakness is at DE. Not so much at DT.

Hopefully he'll improve. But he's undisciplined. He was absolutely terrible vs Washington. Worst individual performance among team starters IMO last week. He ran himself out of the play on pass rushes and consistently lost contain on runs. I'd like to see Montgomery or someone else get extended playing time at that spot.
