i read today that LSU has bumped next years tulane game in favor of the chicken kickoff game against nc. tulane coach toledo seems a bit put off with LSU opting out of this game. he doesnt mind the yearly beat down, they just want the revenue. i for one would like to see the "rag rivalry" reborn, but who cares if it boils down to a guaranteed win for us. LA tech seems to be headed in a respectable direction.....maybe we should remake the rag with a bulldog on one side.

Toledo needs to focus on not getting his teeth kicked in, and let us worry about national exposure and our schedule.

The dome was an embarassing ghosttown on ESPN the other night. He needs to do better.

playing Tulane helps Tulane a loooooooooooooooot more than LSU

Tulane either needs to agree to a 4-1 series or just eliminate the game.

The way I read it, Tulane has to accept the agreement.

Is that not so?

It is NOT the responsibility of LSU to fund toolame's football team. If the azzholes cannot raise enough money to support their pathetic excuse for an "athletic program" fuk 'em.

Time to stop subsidizing The Slime athletic program with LSU money. Just let em dry up and blow away, which will probably happen soon without all the Tiger bucks keeping them afloat.

It's gonna be like the Olive and Sky Blue Tulane Titanic hitting a big Purple and Gold iceberg. They wont realize the damage at first, but soon that ship will start sinking and quickly after will be resting on the bottom. (As in Tulane dropping football or going Div.2 or 3)

I for one will be my arse off when it all goes down........

The tulane deal was just Stanley Bertman looking out for his/Moses' people and getting a chance to be lazy at the same time. Win/win for him.

Tulane
I wish the rivalry would continue, but Tulane, by leaving the SEC and openly de-emphasising athletics in the 1950's, are really the ones who killed the rivalry.

Greedy Louisiana State. What about the rivalry; the wheelbarrow races? Go ahead and bring in 1AA patsy’s so you arse-clowns can leave at half.

Go VANDY

I understand Tulane has struggled, especially since Katrina, but why is it LSU's responsibility to support a private university that brings very little to the state of Louisiana outside of a large contingent of East Coast Jews that don't stay in Louisiana after graduation. On top of that, they charge a ridiculous amount for an overrated education (no offense Tulane alums, but your degree is no more impressive than an LSU degree in almost every major if not less impressive).

If it was a state school, then I'd understand. Otherwise, LSU shouldn't be shackled by them.
