In 1983 an unranked LSU, which would finish just 4-7 on the year, upset #9 Washington 40-14 in Death Valley. Can the Huskies pull off the same type of upset here? Washington should be a much improved team this year especially with QB Locker back and healthy. They have 18 returning starters and a new attitude under HC Steve Sarkesian. LSU is a legitimate Top 10 team, but this game will not be as easy as most folks think. I am surprised that my computer has the Huskies totaling 342 yards against a tough LSU defense.
PHIL’S FORECAST: Lsu 30 WASHINGTON 20

If LSU only wins by 10 the rantards will go nuts.

All Tigers...early and often

guess we just disagree about how good LSU is and i freely admit i have little respect for Washington.

If we're only ahead by 10 at halftime the rantards, will still go nuts.

And do not give them the pleasure of capitalizing their title again.

notre dame beat them 33-7. would it be a stretch to say we atleast do as well as they did, or are we not as good as notre dame all of a sudden?

What does his computer using in its formula to say Washington will get X number of yards?

And for that matter, how do computer polls have "preseason polls" that are any different than last year's final polls?

They were a different team with Locker. Also, new coaches and 18 returning starters. Apples and oranges.

I think you could argue that thay packed it in last year after the tough start and Locker got hurt.

Many LSU fans will say that LSU had pretty much lost their fight after the 'Bama game last year so I don't know why it can't be possible that UW could actually be much better than an 0-12 record would indicate.

I give them no More than 7 pts on a broken secondary play

Tigers RUN for most of yards and air it out for a few long ones.

LSU 38 UW 7

Phil uses NCAA Football 2000 for Playstation. He goes into the edit player mode every spring and makes an exact likeness of every Division 1 player. That's why he is the best.
