its time for one of THOSE threads again

you know the threads that kinda wrap up what there are seemingly a minimum of five threads a day about, all asking the same question and we all take turns answering the question and insulting the posters of these threads, so i'll do my best to help everyone out.
1. Our top story is all about the Golden Band From Tigerland. The 50-person pep band WILL be making the trip to Washington. The band will not be making a full-band SEC trip this year and all SEC trips will be same day travel to make up for the funding of this trip. LSU's band will leave Friday for the game.
2. In other news, two U-Dub fans have finally begun trash talking. For the most part it's weak, but it's still worth a look and a laugh, particularly on a Monday. The thread can be found here.
3. Also, we have our first official look-a-like thread for the season up and running. Always worth a look-see. (Side note: I have no idea what we did without all the reality TV stars to make fun of though.) You can see that thread by clicking this.
4. ESPN's College Gameday crew have released their predictions and Herbstreit has released his 9th Annual Herbie Awards. LSU is not mentioned in categories that certain Ranters feel we should have been mentioned in, further propelling the belief that ESPN, and particularly Herbie, hates LSU.
5. Finally, Rich Rodriguez is causing more rumors to swirl on the Rant. For now, Rich Rod is still the coach at Michigan and Les Miles is still the coach of LSU.
ETA (8/31 6:26PM)
6. Jordan Jefferson will be the starter, as far as the real depth chart beyond Jefferson is really a mystery. Some say that Lee is in 2nd and Shepard is 3rd, others say it's reversed. Also, how Shepard will be used offensively remains a full mystery. Odds are he will be the 3rd string quarterback and brought in on certain plays. Reportedly, he did work as a WR some in practices.
7. It's Seattle, it's gonna rain, period. Nothing more need be said.
8. LSU and Coach Les Miles would like LSU fans going to the U-Dub game in gold. Washington's primary color is also purple. But, let's be honest, we can't even get LSU fans to wear gold to the gold game when they know about it months in advanced. How LSU plans to get it's fans in one color less than a week before the game is honestly beyond me.
The Tigers will kickoff their season at 9:30PM CT on ESPN.
