Spurrier is still getting too much credit for stuff that was done 10 years ago, I'd probably shift him down below Richt

I'd put Miles 3rd. Richt & Spurrier are a toss up for 4th. Spurrier has the pedigree but richt has done more recently. Other than that I think it's dead on

When you factor in the talent they have had to work with, it would change the list big time.

Nutt would be #3

Pretty much agree, although Spurrier should probably be 4th.

I think it's pretty close.. Spurrier and Bobby Johnson may need to switch spots..

How/Where did Saban accumulate that "1" in a 105 - 50 - 1 record..

it is difficult to rank the SEC coaches because they are so damn good. you should be impressed with johnson at vandy and brooks at UK even w/o any hardware due to the dirth of talent in their areas. urban meyer has to be ranked #1, but no way is nick saban as good as his hype. in 5 yrs at lsu, he won an sec title and a nc title both in the only year that he lost less than 3 games. i'm not belittling that, i'm just saying that doesn't qualify for "walking on water" status. miles has done just as well, actually better, in four years. they are both very good. bama fans may dub him the messiah, but that doesn't make it true.

That's actually a solid ranking w/ a coherent explanation. The only change I'd make would be to swap Les and Spur on the basis of recent success. But that's much better and more logical than most.

I think I would have Miles above Spurrier at this point in history. Spurrier has been lackluster at SC so far, and Miles has done great at LSU other than last year. Overall, I would have to say it was a pretty fair ranking. KC.

Bunch of crap.

Les Miles, Houston Nutt, Bobby Johnson, Bobby Petrino and Rich Brooks never lost to UAB or Lousiana Monroe.

Miles to #3, Spurrier to #4.

#12 is dead on.

I would put Steve 5th, Richt 4th, and Miles 3rd.

Everything else remains.

I have no problem with the ranking. It really is a waste of time though because there are so many variables. Miles doesn't really deserve to be any higher based on last years catastrophe alone. Last year was pathetic. I hope he has turned things around. We'll see.
