Just a little butter on one side of the tortilla and fry it for a few seconds. It crisps the tortilla slightly and makes it more authentic.
I know what you mean though about store bought tortillas. I wish I could make those Ninfa tortillas.

We put blue cheese cole slaw on our pulled pork sammiches. Damn....It's good.
