I'm not sure about the exact situation. But I do have big problems with these high school coaches, especially at a school like Breaux Bridge who have sent numerous players on to college football, not making these kids understand during their freshman and sophomore years in high school that screwing up that early can make them miss out on huge opportunities later on.
More often than not, a guy who is good enough to play in college can be spotted very early on, but no one is on their arse to keep it together in the classroom.
