Its a deceptively very good game. It doesn't seem like it when you turn it on because the graphics are just so so (they aren't bad by any stretch but they do look a hair dated) but the action is very very fluid and you find yourself engrossed in it very quickly. For a sandbox game it is quite good.

I think they toned down the graphics so that performance isn't hurt.
GTA was very pretty (at least to me), but the screen would get choppy and slow if too much stuff was blowing up at once. That doesn't happen in Prototype.
I can see myself playing this game for a long time after I finish it. Even if it's just to put it in for an hour to blow off some steam.
