Staying at a buddy's house from the Marine Corps. There will be 7 of us in town who were in the Corps together for a reunion, and the LSU game. Some of those guys I haven't seen in 35 years. I foresee mass quantities of alcohol consumed mixed with a helluva lot of funny a** sea-stories. Old Marine buddies & LSU football all in the same weekend. Man, I can't wait!

If taking a side trip to Vancouver, British Columbia, do not forget your passport. It is required now. Expect about 2 1/2 to 3 hours driving and getting across the border from Seattle depending on whether you hit rush hour.
As for hotels, the U District, which is where the University is, duh, is pretty fun as a college scene. There's no Chimes unfortunately. Staying downtown has its own rewards and the bus service will take you to the U District easy enough. Be ready for the panhandlers downtown and don't drive drunk downtown if you can help it!
I'm counting on my BR friends showing these Caspers how to tailgate! If anyone is planning on serious cooking, Cash n'Carry grocery has everything you need. They have a store on 4th Ave.
Go Tigers!
