Turtle is seafood according to the Catholic Church, but you probably should be careful if you're a real hard-liner, because a lot of places will substitute veal in turtle soup, which is clearly not a seafood.

I can understand why you would ask this question. Clearly eating turtle (meat or seafood in nature) would be a much greater sacrifice than the ole turkey sandwich or poor boy.

It is indeed seafood. It just tastes so good, it makes you feel guilty. That's why Catholics get confused. The Lenten-guilt thing is difficult to overcome. It's not you, it's the turtle.
