Ms. Labruzzo was my homeroom teacher all 3 years I was at CLHS. Her father was the mayor who got Joe to Lockport. I know all about Holy Savior and JC. I was there until they closed down the high school. I was there for all of the JC games because my brother was a starter in all 3 of those wins. However I believe those were JC's first 3 seasons of football. The first 2 were blowouts like 40-50 to nothing. The last one was like 19 to 0 in 1970.

Coach Lloyd was from Raceland and was coaching at Raceland Jr. High with his two brothers(Don & ??)when I first met him. So he was probably on the Raceland High staff before CLHS was opened-up in 1966.

Yeah it was their first 3 seasons, but still when you compile a list of schools to beat John Curtis more than one time, it's kinda funny to see Holy Savior up there with the likes of Salmen, Notre Dame? Can't really think of many others.

I went to LSU when Cantrelle and Estay were there and they were awesome. Cantrelle actually finished HS in Biloxi then came to LSU. His rep was that he could whip anybody in the state in a straight up fistfight. At least that was what we thought. Last I heard he was working for a casino in Biloxi.
