The only reason some see this as a knock on Griffin is because of 7 ft guys like Dirk who came in the league shooting 3's.
There's nothing wrong with a traditional PF that plays with his back to the basket. Also keep in mind that he's only 2 years out of high school so he has time to develop a mid range game
