When was the last time the SEC had no teams in the Sweet 16?

Just wondering. It seems like it must have been a long time since this happened, but it will likely happen today. Also, I wonder if there has ever been an SEC regular season champion seeded any lower than LSU was this year. I would doubt it.

I tell you what, I will do that if you're right. But if I'm right, you go kill yourself. Would you like to take that deal?

1989, I think. No SEC team won a game period that year. 0-6.
