Christ you bunch of rantards.

Their inside game destroyed us. We missed outside shots badly. (Taz and Thornton) ... and when we did drive, we drove into a lane of 2 and 3 people .... your shite is gonna get swatted.

Quit bitching. We lost .... Not a big deal, we're in the tourney.

I agree that we should won regardless of the refs, but you can't argue the discrepancy in FT's shot....
MSU.....35

LSU....13

That's fricking rediculous!

ETA: The only game where I think the refs made a difference this year was the game at Alabama.

We shot better than they did from the outside. They barely outshot us from the floor. Reality disagrees with you.

I agree. LSU came out lethagic, Thornton looked like he didn't sleep at all last night, and Spencer with the driving and prayer the last two games. Temple and Taz played well enough but that was it. Wasn't our day, plain and simple.

What I don't get is how tired we were. Didn't MSU play yesterday too? Didn't we have 5 days off before the tourney? Poor CJ, that son of a gun tries hard but just gets manhandled.

We had a spark with Bass in there and looked like he should have played more with what Spencer was doing.

Still SEC Champs

Absolutely correct, but too many ignorant people on this board that can't understand it.

Yes. That happens when their post people are allowed to hand check our post people, grab their jerseys, execute UFC takedowns on them, and bodycheck our people driving into the lane, while we are not allowed to make eye contact with their post people without a foul being called.

Saying, "Their inside game destroyed us" in no way suggests that the officiating was not a major factor in costing us the game.

And if you were a State player driving into 2 and 3 people wearing LSU jerseys and your shite got swatted, you went to the free throw line. See the difference? No? Of course not. Go drink some more kool-aid and practice your, "the refs are infallible angels who never do anything wrong and I must protect them by insulting anyone who suggests otherwise," mantra the NCAA gave you at sheep school.

I'm not one to blame refs for the loss. I generally hate bitching and complaining about calls because in every game you are going to get bad calls...refs just won't get it right sometimes.

But, there really seemed to be a large number of shoves in the back under the goal by Mississippi State. That should be an automatic foul that was consistently not called. I watched that game seeing LSU players getting pushed away from loose balls and rebounds with no calls being made.

And at the end of the game, Mississippi State had 25+ free throws to our 9.

I don't think it was the only reason we lost. We could have still won had we had any production from the perimeter. But the referees deserve criticism for this game.

When the other team's big can post up between the block and RIM, you are done! Johnson is 14Karat finesse...stronger players move him all over the place.

Strange how I never hear the winners whining about how terrible the officiating was...

Hey the zebras didn't miss the shots we took we did, but a 3 to 1 ration of their shots to ours is what killed us.

MSU was hacking us with no penalties, and their inside guy walked about 7 times when he was pushing Chris under the basket moving his feet and it didn't get called once. They called the same thing on us a couple of times.

We'll see how things turn out next week. That's when it counts.

Let our clueless RANTards blame the officals. They need to blame someone, and trashing the officials is better than trashing our players or our coaching staff. Blaming the officals is harmless; our players and coaching staff need to be protected from the clueless--

Q. Thornton had to stop MS, big man ,in on order for LSU to have a better chance, but the refs, were not going to let him. How many fouls did he have, for real?

The reality is that we are a good team at times, we did well in an "off" year for the SEC, but we don't have the guns to go very deep into the tourney. I have enjoyed the wins..especially the 3 wins over Kentucky, and anything we win from now on in is just cherry and whipped cream.
