I would take basketball over football for this season.

I don't understand how anyone, with any understanding of college sports, could say baseball, if this were really a realistic choice.

Basketball....So we could have one in all 3 major sports.

Basketball fopr a number of reasons, one which being that it the basketball team somehow won the tourney, the baseball team could still win in Omaha, giving LSU both.

Basketball, and it's a no-brainer. I love LSU baseball as much as the next guy, but it is not even in the same universe as men's basketball in terms of national recognition. In terms of reputational "bang for the buck," baseball is about on par with women's basketball nationally.
All that said, a baseball title is a lot more realistic this year, and I'm hoping we can bring it home...

There should be no question. Basketball without a doubt. The national exposure for the University would be 10 times that for anything we do in Baseball.

Also, basketball would be a MUCH bigger feat in additon to huge dicrepency in benefits over winning it in baseball. Besides, I kinda think baseball is sorta, (don't kill me) boring. At least until tourney time.

Basketball.
We haven't won an NC in Basketball since 1935. Look what happened to baseball after winning their first NC in 1991: support for the team exploded and since then LSU has had the highest attendance in the country. What do you think would happen for LSU basketball if they were to win an NC? You'd see a huge explosion of support for the team, along with more national exposure.

that depends on how you define "major sports". According to media coverage, the 3 major college sports would be football, men's basketball, and women's basketball
