2005 Peach Bowl-Miami 3, LSU 41

2007 Sugar Bowl-Notre Dame 14, LSU 40

2007 SEC Championship Game-Tennesse 14, LSU 21

2008 BCS National Championship Game- Ohio State 24, LSU 38

2008 Chick-Fil-A Bowl: Georgia Tech 3, LSU 38

In Bowl Games, according to the calcualtions made by the Free Edwin Edwards Institute of Louisiana Affairs, Les, since arriving at LSU, has a record of 4-0, a winning percentage of 100% and has outscored opponents 157-48.

In Championship games, he has a record of 2-1, with one SEC Championship and one National Championship.

Bob Stoops, in the same period of time, has had 3 conference championships, but a record of 1-3 in Bowl games.

And, Pete Carroll chokes worse than a first time prostitute, so he doesn't count.

BIG GAME.

In the spirit of defending that statement...the 2005 Peach Bowl was his first ever bowl game at LSU..and he beat the dogshite out of Miami and spun that program into a 3 year tailspin

Also, he was starting to feel the heat from the fanbase for this year's Peach Bowl after the Ole Piss and Ar-Kansas debacles........and answered the call quite well beating the ramblin Wreck in their hometown after being picked aganist by everybody and their mommas!

I hate to throw a wet blanket over this, but it sure seems like everybody thought Auburn 2006, Florida 2006, Florida 2008 and Georgia 2008 were big games before LSU lost them. It kind of seems to me that you're selectively classifying games as big. If LSU had not lost those games in 2006 they would have played a really big game. The losses this year relegated LSU to a lesser bowl, which could hardly be considered a big game.

But yes, he has an impressive bowl record. No doubt.

I hate it.

It adds pressure and acts as a JINX!

"Fear The Hat"

"The Hat"

"The Mad Hatter"

These are seeming to do quite well.

Probably because Va Tech was considered by everyone to be a MNC contender.
